Borgo il Ducato
A small 17th Century village on the outskirts of Farnese, in the heart of Etruscan Tuscia, to which a manor house was added in the 19th Century for the Torlonia family. It was also the residence of Giuseppe Garibaldi during one of his raids on the Papal State. Everything has been restored with the utmost care to accommodate an extraordinarily charming B&B. Terracotta floors, frescoed ceilings, trompe l’oeil on the walls, a fireplace, piano, and antique furniture in the vast common areas and in the bedrooms. A floral garden extends around the buildings with a large vegetable garden and five hectares of precious olive trees (of rare Canino quality) for the production of an excellent olive oil.
